Islantilla and the surrounding beaches are famous for their light. The sunsets from the terrace of our house overlooking the lake, and from the beach itself, are spectacular. The pine forests, the gardens and the golf course itself mean that the area has a mild climate all year round, there are many animals, especially exotic birds that only occur in the area and a pleasant fresh scent from the vegetation and the saltpetre of the sea and the marshes of the Rio Piedra. For golf lovers, the golf club is just a few metres away, so they can play whenever they wish. As well as the tranquillity that is breathed in this area, just a few minutes walk away are all the leisure areas, restaurants, and other beaches of interest, some very crowded and others with a simple beach bar and almost in family, to enjoy miles of fine white sand. But if one day you don't feel like cooking, at the door of the urbanisation there is a small restaurant, open from early in the morning until late at night and where you can buy basic necessities, bread, newspaper, etc.

The house is very carefully set up. Years ago, when the children were younger, we adapted it for babies, and there are still those little things that make you have a relaxing rest (doors on the stairs, travel cot, plugs for the sockets, stories, games, books and films for children and adults...). But it is also designed for adults who want to relax, enjoy a good local wine or the wonderful fish and vegetables bought at the market. You have everything you need for a family or romantic meal, inside the house (with an extendable table if there are many of you) or on the terrace with the wonderful views. Of course there is a dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee machine, washing machine, television with foreign channels, etc. to make your holiday unforgettable. You don't need to bring sheets and towels, you even have a spare.
It has a double bed with latex mattress, 150x200cms, and two single beds of 90x200cms.

Turismo e actividades
Islantilla is a small area between La Antilla and Islacristina. All these towns are fishing villages with a great tradition and you can still see them every morning going out to fish. On the beach itself there is an area dedicated to fishing gear and ships.
It has been a regular place for family summer relaxation and the town has adapted to the influx of visitors throughout the year with shops of all kinds, especially outdoors.
The beaches have fine white sand, and the air is usually constant, without major changes. The temperature is usually moderate all year round, although it cools down at night and the tides come in every six hours (it is Atlantic).
If you are sports lovers, you will not only be on the golf course, but also on the beach there are surfing, sailing, kitesurfing and other water sports, including the famous pedal boats. Across the road there is a magnificent hotel where you can practice your father or have a great massage or sauna in the relaxation area, or eat in the restaurant for a fantastic price. A few metres away there is a riding school where you can go horse riding, and in Cartaya, a nearby village, there is a fantastic water park and go-karting circuit.
There are numerous beach bars, bars and restaurants in the area, as well as a local market, and a small village where you can buy anything you need or commercial areas for shopping, cinemas, etc.
Portugal is only a few kilometres from the house, which greatly enriches the stay with tourism, not only from the surrounding fishing villages (Isla Cristina, Ayamonte...), but from a neighbouring country so rich in culture and with such beautiful places to visit (Guadiana river bank, Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Praia Verde, Canela Vela...)..

Distances
The nearest airport is in Faro (45 minutes away) and the closest airport is Seville (about 75 minutes away). Both are international and car hire is available, with free motorways in both countries for easy access.
For those of you coming from outside Andalusia, it is very well connected to Seville (75 minutes away), a historically attractive city for tourism, which offers all year round shows, sports and tourist activities and has a wide range of monuments.
Nearby, in the area, there is also Moguer, Palos de la Frontera (where the caravels set sail for the discovery of America), El Rompido, Cartaya, the Riotinto mines, etc....

How to get to the house
To get to the house from the A-49 motorway between Seville and Portugal, take exit 117 "Villablanca, Lepe, Acceso Playas". Follow the signs to La Antilla or Playas at all times and in 5 minutes you will be at the main roundabout in La Antilla. Turn right and at the first access on the right you are already on the golf course. Continue for about 500 metres until you reach the bar-restaurant La Taberneta del Golf on the right hand side. A few metres further on, on the left, you will see a stone fence and an iron gate for vehicles painted turquoise blue. The houses have different shapes and are on both sides of a cobblestone road. It is called, urbanisation Altavista. At the end on the right, at number 20, is your house.
Conditions
Normally a deposit of 50% of the total amount is required as a guarantee for both parties. Usually a deposit is made into the current account or by bank transfer. This will be your best guarantee and peace of mind.
In Islantilla, if I cannot be there personally, there will be a person of my total confidence in summer who will welcome you, explain and facilitate your installation and who will be available for any questions or needs you may have during your stay in the house. She is a great person, generous and very attentive.
Pets are not accepted.
Prices include a general cleaning of the house, which is done just before your arrival.
The house is very well prepared and its quality is well above the average of rental houses.
