Turismo e actividades
The town of Chipiona is well known for its lighthouse, the tallest in Spain, the third tallest in Europe and the fifth tallest in the world. Built in the 19th century on the ruins of an ancient Roman lighthouse dating back to the 2nd century B.C., it was already mentioned in the writings of Strabo, who compared it to the lighthouse of Alexandria. Rising on the tip of the dog, it is a magnificent monument worthy of a visit. Also in Chipiona is the sanctuary of Regla, built in the 14th century on the site of the old fortress of the Ponce de León family, which is surprising for its sober appearance and its modern, contemporary image.
Other activities in the town are shellfishing and fishing in its corrals, a construction of Roman origin used to catch fish and shellfish during high tide, and which are preserved in very good condition in spite of centuries of the sea's attacks.
Finally, we should mention the importance of its gastronomy and its Moscatel wine, unique in the world for its exquisite sweetness.
Water sports: sailing, surfing, windsurfing.
Horse racing on the beach near Sanlúcar de Barrameda and all its surroundings: visits to wineries, castle and other monuments.
There is a wonderful network of cycle paths with which you can go from Chipiona to Sanlúcar or, if you prefer, to Rota, Puerto de Santa María, Costa Ballena, etc.
For hiking enthusiasts there is the possibility of walking from Chipiona to Rota without interruption, although the tide is high, so you can walk eastwards along the beaches of Cruz del Mar, Regla, Camarón, Las tres Piedras, Costa Ballena, Punta Candor, Rota Natural Park and Rota. To the west, and taking advantage of the low tide, the more adventurous can enjoy the wild and quiet coves located between Chipiona and La Jara, and can continue through Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Bajo Guía until reaching the Guadalquivir river and the Doñana reserve..
Beaches: Cruz del Mar, Micaela, Playa de Regla, La Jara.

How to get to the house
It can be considered that the house occupies a strategic location from which you can reach different localities without having to cross the town centre of Chipiona, saving unnecessary traffic jams at rush hour. Therefore, the residence can be seen as a headquarters where we can spend the night after having enjoyed excellent beaches in other places. But if, on the other hand, we prefer to stay in Chipiona, we can enjoy the excellent beaches of this town; wide beaches with fine sand such as El Camarón.
If we take as a reference point the mouth of the Guadalquivir, looking out to sea, on the right we have the Doñana reserve, the beaches of Huelva and El Rocío. To the left, we find the city of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and following the coast we find the wild beaches of La Jara. Further to the left, we find the town of Chipiona, with the beautiful little cove of La Micaela and its marina. This is where the house we offer you is located, and hence its strategic and exceptional location and easy access. From the A471, coming from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, take the 1st entrance to Chipiona and drive along Avenida de Granada. Then, take Avenida San José, Calle Río Miño, and finally, Calle Río Tinto 39 where you will find the house, on the corner of Calle Río Odiel. We have omitted the description of different routes from different places, such as Jerez, Malaga or Seville, as we understand that the choice of the itinerary is personal and free choice.
