Costa Ballena is between the municipalities of Rota (its centre at 8.5 km. and 29,000 inhabitants) and Chipiona (its centre at 7 km. and 18,900 inhabitants). Both municipalities have all the basic services covered (health centre, shops, restaurants, cinemas,...) and stand out for their particular personality, with their own life all year round.

Its geographical enclave is unique because it is equally close to Sanlúcar de Barrameda (its centre at 13 km. and 67,300 inhabitants) with its wonderful centre, horse riding on the beach and restaurants. From El Puerto de Santa María (centre 20 km. and 89.000 inhabitants) with the marina Puerto Sherry, its bodegas, restaurants, local train and ferry to Cádiz. From Jerez de la Frontera (centre 29 km. and 212.000 inhabitants) the most populous city in the province of Cadiz with airport and train services, where you must visit its historic centre, the Horse Fair, its restaurants and its classic wine cellars. And Cadiz (its centre at 48 km. and 124.000 inhabitants), the capital of the province, with its chirigotas, its marvellous beaches, its culture,...

Bike lane all around the urbanisation. There is a golf course right in front of the flat (15 metres away), which can be seen from the large outdoor terrace, the living-dining room and the two bedrooms.
There are sailing courses on the beach, golf, bicycle rentals and numerous parks, one of them with an impressive lake with ducks. There are also children's playgrounds available in different parts of Costa Ballena.
About 10 minutes walk away there are a number of commercial premises, with a variety of restaurants (100 Montaditos, ice cream parlours, newspapers, bakery with breakfast, household goods, fashion, ...). And about 15 minutes walking there are two more, with similar services, a Mercadona (with its own parking) and a bus station. Perfect for strolling and dining with the family..

The golf course (Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club) surrounds the development and forms part of Costa Ballena. Its entrance is 500 m. from the flat and has 27 holes that allow you to enjoy up to 3 different courses, designed by José María Olazábal.
There are also available cinemas in Rota (about 8 km.), international airport in Jerez de la Frontera (about 30 km.), water park and suburban trains in El Puerto de Santa María, bicycle paths to nearby towns and bus services from the flat door.

How to get to the house

Access to the flat from Seville is recommended via the A-4 motorway to the Las Cabezas de San Juan exit. Then head towards Chipiona. At the second entrance to Sanlúcar de Barrameda (to the south) on the A-480, take exit 5 towards Costa Ballena.
From Cádiz, head towards Rota, and once you have passed the two entrances to the main town from the A-491, you will come to a roundabout on your left where you will find the first of the entrances to Costa Ballena.
It is just as easy to get there from the Costa del Sol. The natural thing to do is to take the A-381 from Los Barrios and on arrival in Jerez look for the exit to Rota on the A-491. From there the rest is the same as if we were coming from Cadiz.
